My name is Anne. I am a theater professional who doesn’t work in theater that much anymore; I am a teacher who isn’t teaching. I am a fabric artist and quilter; I am a writer and ruminator.
I began my website in 2015, spurred by the passing of a very special friend who always urged me to write. She held a deep belief that it is our stories that bind us, that connect us, that heal us, and I take her words to heart every time I put pen to paper.
These days I’m in a new season: kids grown, old career paused, ready for some new adventures. I want to create things. I want to explore. I want to finish my book.
I live in Colorado with my husband and our sweet dog, Luna.
I write to process the world; this site exists to push me to do just that. Without that motivator (and too often, even with it), I go fallow. Not good: fallow means I'm a little less alive.
Here, in my own space, I can tell my story, talk about the world I live in as I see it. My goal is to reach out, not call out. To pull in, not push away.
That said, I do have a point of view and there are times I will lay that right out there, even with the occasional F-bomb. It's OK if you don't agree.
Please join me. If you are intrigued by what you see here, maybe subscribe. It's a whole lot more fun to share when you know someone is out there listening.
